Answer
Intellectual understanding that “I am not this body”. Correct intellectual understanding is one layer. Then you strongly feel it as an existential experience.
There are different kinds of feelings. One is an existential feeling: “I am not this body.”
So, in knowledge, when you have information and intellectual understanding, along with an existential feeling, you get realization.
There is a feeling of knowing something. Simply knowing information is different from knowing the truth. That is chit-rasa.
Then there is ananda-rasa. Sat and chit-rasa are there, and only then do you get ananda-rasa.
So, vijnana generally means that the feeling aspect is also there along with the knowing aspect.
But there cannot be vijnana without gyana.
