A social system that may have been practical and effective in an earlier age may not necessarily be practical under present-day circumstances. Therefore, attempting to solve modern social issues simply by restoring an earlier social structure may not always be feasible.
Instead, the emphasis should be on helping people become Krishna conscious.
Whether a woman works outside the home or remains at home, the essential point is that she sincerely practices Krishna consciousness. By taking shelter of devotional service, anyone can perfect their life and ultimately return to Godhead.
Thus, the real solution does not lie merely in changing external social arrangements, but in developing Krishna consciousness, which brings lasting spiritual benefit regardless of one's external circumstances.
