Answer
The word moksha has a much broader meaning than many people realize.
The highest form of moksha includes prema, pure love for God.
When one attains love of God, one is already completely liberated. It is impossible to possess pure love for Krishna while remaining materially bound.
Therefore, the highest understanding of moksha naturally culminates in prema.
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu explained that there are not merely four purusharthas, but five.
The traditional four are:
Dharma (religious duty)
Artha (economic development)
Kama (regulated enjoyment)
Moksha (liberation)
Mahaprabhu introduced the fifth and highest purushartha:
Krishna-prema (pure love of Krishna)
The purpose of the first four is to elevate a person to a platform where he becomes qualified to receive this supreme goal.
Krishna-prema is the ultimate perfection of human life and the highest fulfillment beyond even liberation itself.
