Answer
The proper understanding is:
"I am a tiny servant in Krishna's creation. Krishna has created many wonderful and beautiful things. Even in this material world there are many attractive objects, but they all serve a purpose within His creation."
If you are a brahmachari, you should understand that such attractions are not meant for you. This is called dharma—knowing your particular role in Krishna's arrangement.
Do not think, "I should be able to look at everything and remain unaffected." That mentality itself is influenced by Mayavada.
Instead, think realistically:
"If I unnecessarily expose myself to temptation, I will become affected because that is the law of material nature. Therefore, I should only see what is necessary."
One should respect Maya rather than underestimate her power.
Humility is essential for overcoming sexual desire. A humble person understands that the material world is extremely complex and that Maya is very powerful. Therefore, he remains cautious, keeps the association of devotees, chants the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, regularly studies spiritual literature, and stays engaged in devotional service.
That is the safe path back to Godhead.
